There is a star in Heaven

If I could hold you just one more time
Dear sweet little angel child of mine,
I’d treasure that moment and never let go.
We’d rekindle that bond only soul mates can know.

I’d feel your warmth and relish your sighs,
I’d marvel again at the love in your eyes.
I’d hear your soft moans as I rubbed that right place,
I’d chuckle as it put a “smile” on your face.

I’d bury my nose in your fur - soft and clean,
Catch that scent - yours alone - some will know what I mean.
I’d rub on your tummy - make your leg quiver!
Feel your breath on my ear - it always gave me a shiver.

I’d whisper sweet nothings in your ear like before,
Sing our song - the one you always seemed to adore.
